During this exclusive adult only music themed tour from Travelling Time, you’ll enjoy the music and culture of four fabulous cities – Chicago Illinois, Detroit Michigan, Cleveland Ohio and Washington DC. Beginning in Chicago which is known for its fabulous architecture, Chicago Blues and Chess Records. After exploring the city’s landmarks and visiting a few famous nightspots, we will leave Chicago behind us and move on to Motor City, Detroit! We will visit Hitsville USA, the home of Motown, before travelling around Lake Erie to Cleveland Ohio. This vibrant city is where both The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame are located. Then finally, we’ll make our way to the Nation’s Capital – Washington DC
Chicago

Chicago, on Lake Michigan in Illinois, is among the largest cities in the U.S. Famed for its bold architecture, it has a skyline punctuated by skyscrapers such as the iconic John Hancock Center, 1,451-ft. Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and the neo-Gothic Tribune Tower. The city is also renowned for its museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago with its noted Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works
Detroit
We will be spending 1 Night in Detroit
Detroit is the largest city in the midwestern state of Michigan. Near Downtown, the neoclassical Detroit Institute of Arts is famed for the Detroit Industry Murals painted by Diego Rivera, and inspired by the city’s ties to the auto industry, giving it the nickname “Motor City.” Detroit is also the birthplace of Motown Records, whose chart-topping history is on display at their original headquarters, Hitsville U.S.A.
Cleveland
We will be spending 2 Nights in Cleveland
officially the City of Cleveland, is a major city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County.[8] Located in the Northeastern part of the state, the city is situated along the southern shore of Lake Erie, across the U.S. maritime border with Canada and approximately 60 miles (100 kilometers) west of the Ohio-Pennsylvania state border.
Washington DC
We will be spending 3 Nights in Washington DC
Washington, DC, the U.S. capital, is a compact city on the Potomac River, bordering the states of Maryland and Virginia. It’s defined by imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings – including the iconic ones that house the federal government’s 3 branches: the Capitol, White House and Supreme Court. It’s also home to iconic museums and performing-arts venues such as the Kennedy Center.
Itinerary
Welcome to the Windy City – Chicago, Illinois! Once you are checked in get to know your guide, driver and fellow travellers At our informal welcome meeting.
Today we will spend the day sight-seeing in the heart of Chicago, from Navy Pier to the shopping malls of downtown! Rest and relax in the hotel before we take you out for the evening to enjoy dinner with live music and entertainment in some of the best known music venues in Chicago.
Another fantastic day in the Windy City. Our day starts on an amazing city tour with a local guide – learn all about Chicago’s infamous past, its music history and how the city has changed over the years. We’ll visit Chess Records, the leading Blues label of the 1950s & 1960s then it is on to Lake Michigan for a leisurely Chicago Skyline cruise. This evening we will go out as a group to even more well known music venues.
It is time to say goodbye to Chicago and make our way to Detroit, stopping in Kalamazoo for a tour of Bell’s Brewery and a bite to eat on the way! Before checking into our hotel, we will have time to stop at Hitsville USA to learn about the origins of one of the most famous labels, Motown! Then after some R & R in the hotel you are free to enjoy a meal and the entertainment area of Detroit.
After Breakfast we will leave Detroit to travel to Cleveland Ohio. Our first stop will be a tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame located in downtown Cleveland, on the shore of Lake Erie. The museum documents the history of rock music and the artists, producers, engineers and other notable figures who have influenced its development. Then we will make our way to the hotel to freshen up, before going out for the evening.
After breakfast, we are going to visit some of the most iconic locations Cleveland has to offer on a short driving tour of the city, With plenty of free time later you can shop until you drop, grab a bite to eat or simply take in the wonderful architecture of the downtown area! Then it is back to the hotel to rest and relax before heading out for an evening meal and to enjoy some local entertainment.
Today we will make our way south through Pittsburgh and enjoy some sight-seeing and lunch Before arriving at our final Destination – Washington DC. The US Capital is home to some of the most famous buildings in the world – including The Capitol Building and The White House.
This morning’s driving tour of Washington DC, will include Some of the most iconic statues and buildings in the USA, you will be amazed by the history and beauty of the Nation’s Capital! In the afternoon we will cross the Potomac into Virginia to the Arlington National Cemetery – the final resting place of America’s fallen soldiers and President John F Kennedy. Then it is back to the hotel to freshen up before enjoying an evening meal and local entertainment in DC’s metropolitan area.
Today, on the last day of the tour, you can visit more of the wonderful sights Washington DC has to offer. Enjoy the City before returning to the hotel to meet the group for a farewell dinner in Georgetown!
Sad but True…your tour is over! We will leave the hotel in good time to take you to the airport for your flight.
